An INDEXING GROUP is a group of people who are participating in indexing efforts as a group:
1. It is a fun way to motivate each other to be involved in indexing.
2. Provides a means to track the number of records indexed or reviewed by the group.
3. Provides for friendly competition between other groups
HOW TO JOIN ANOTHER GROUP
These instructions assume you already have a Familysearch account. As a member of the Union Ward, you are automatically added to the Union Ward and Kennewick Stake Groups which at the time of writing this post has 66 members doing indexing in the Union Ward and 678 people doing indexing in the Stake.
STEP 1: Sign into Indexing and find the "Find Groups" button on the opening page. Members of the Union Ward will see the following:
STEP 2: When you click on the "Find Groups" button you have two choices. Choose "Find Groups"
STEP 3: Enter the name of the Group you want to join in the search box.
STEP 4: Click the tab "JOIN" when you find the group you want to join.
STEP 5: Index!!! Every record you index or review will be created to all the groups you are a member of.
